Scrum Master

Summary

Tsource is seeking an experienced Scrum Master that will work closely with the development teams and business to deliver Agile solution. The Scrum Master will support the Agile/SCRUM process with the following activities: Run Scrum Ceremonies, track project issues and risks, change request and reporting, assist with creation and administration of user stories and tasks, coordinate meetings with various stakeholders to drive the project forward, and provide weekly executive status reports.

Education and Experience

  • Certified Scrum master preferred with experience managing large projects with geographically distributed teams
  • Good understanding of the Scrum ceremonies and experience in Agile tools similar to JIRA, RallyDev, Git
  • Able to generate quantitative reports using the Scrum management tools to help take informed decisions
  • Work effectively with traditional project management to champion Agile processes
  • Thought Leaders– “Out of the box” mentality and approaches, total cost of ownership on each and every project, continual drive to demonstrate project value add to the business.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate and work with distributed teams and work with various internal stakeholders
  • Five years project management experience preferred with ability to manage risks effectively on both development and maintenance projects
  • Experience translating business requirements to user stories
  • Experience creating executive reporting and status updates
  • Highly consultative skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Agile Team Members, Product Managers, Product Owners and Leadership, including Product Delivery Leaders and Value Stream Leaders to create transparency.
  • Possess and exhibit knowledge of principles of Scale Agile Framework (SAFe), which include Agile Project Management, Lean Thinking and Servant Leadership
  • Implement and efficiently utilize SAFe principles, which include promoting and reinforcing the team rules
  • Encouraging and motivating team to focus on iteration goals
  • Improving the teams understanding and adoption of Agile processes
  • Being proactive in Identifying and addressing issues and impediments within the teams and escalating as necessary to management
  • Leading and guiding effort on relentless improvement to build a high performing team
  • Guiding the team in establishing normalized estimating
  • Helping the team succeed in the areas of quality, predictability, flow and velocity through coaching and mentorship
  • Attend and lead Scrum of Scrum sessions
  • Lead daily stand up meetings
  • Work in partnership other Scrum Teams, Agile Release Trains and Value Streams as needed for planning and release management
  • May be required to perform traditional Project Management activities such as status reports and project plans as required by management
